Walton's also do a more advanced range of Bodhráns with a choice between 4-ply rim in Mahogany, oak or Black stained wood (€59) or a 5-ply rim in Mahogany, Oak or Clack stained wood (€79)

 

The Bodhran Maker

The Bodhrán Maker, Páiric McNeela, has a full range of Bodhráns. At the entry level, they come with and without designs. They are made from goatskin and are good quality instruments, ideal for the beginner. The plain and painted bodhráns come with a beater. They are available in three different sizes 12" (€29.95), 16" (€45) and 18" (€59 incl. Bag ).

Mac Bodhráns

Aidan McRory, has made bodhráns for many Irish recording artists including U2, The Corrs and the Riverdance Band. His bodhráns benefit from a T-bar as opposed to the Cross-bar to give the Bodhrán support at the back but ease of access to the player. The Bodhráns use Goat skin to produce a great tone. His entry level bodhráns come in 2 sizes and are treated to enable travel to countries outside of the EU. The 15" (€69) is ideal for the younger beginner and the 18" comes in two different styles the standard bodhrán (€79) for the Adult beginner and the Advanced Bodhrán (€95) with a thicker skin and Rim.

 

The Bodhran Maker

The Tuneable bodhráns start with the Bodhrán Maker's range. This range of bodhráns have 5 tuning screws on the inner rim which enables the player to get a specific tone. They have a thick rim and excellent goat skin that makes this a great bodhrán.
